Parisian Dreams Come True for 20 FIDM Students

Every year, FIDM students in all majors get the ultra chic chance to explore the heart of fashion in Paris, France. Oui, oui, it's a dream trip with three weeks of Parisian bliss! This year's highlights? The group of 20 students toured a millinery where fabulous hats are handmade for couture houses like Chanel. They visited designer showrooms, fashion design houses, and went behind the scenes to learn about the concept of a brand new clothing line from a cutting-edge specialty retailer.

The group had a French assignment to envy which was street-trend-tracking on some of the most fashionable thoroughfares in the world! They all had one major observation in common: Parisians are partial to bright, vibrant colors and lots of beautiful accessories! Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without museums, shows, shops, and restaurants. Students went to the Louvre, Versailles, caught a performance of the ballet Giselle, and spent plenty of free time traipsing through Paris by day and night!
