The making of a movie poster

Art Director creates comps
The Art Director builds comprehensive (comp) ideas of the posters on computers using special shoot photography and unit photography from the film. All prep work for the presentation, mounting, and copying is done by a team of production artists.
After the first presentation, the client’s revision cycle begins under the direction of the lead Art Director on the project. After several rounds of revisions, which can total in the 100s, a final poster design is approved, finessed, and further developed for finishing.
