FIDM Student Wins Second Place in National Cosmetics Packaging Competition.

Congratulations to FIDM Graphic Design Student Wei-Li Chen, who placed second in the 7th annual Young Designers competition hosted by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) with her  “O’ live” bottle design. ICMAD asked FIDM and six other prestigious design schools to submit their ten most effective bottle designs for personal care packaging. As a winner, Wei-Li earned a trip to New York for the awards dinner and a $1500 prize. Says Wei-Li,  “I am really happy and proud because as students, we always fear that people will not react positively to our work. But after winning this award and being recognized as a designer, it is a step forward to my ultimate goal, which is to have a great career in the design field.”
