Arden Villa: 1998 Showcase House
Each year prominent interior designers perform a complete interior makeover
of an historical home. This year's home, Arden Villa, has been featured on
TV's Dynasty as the Carrington Mansion and in the classic Marx Brothers film
Duck Soup as the Freedonia Palace.
A FIDM student design team worked on the Ristorante Palladio and the Taverna Bellini, while two faculty members designed the Children's Bath. Most exciting, however, were the eight alumni who designed various rooms within the villa. They were chosen to participate in this year's event based on their success in the interior design industry.
