For the first time ever, IKEA sponsored
a student Challenge Contest that was open to 23 schools with Interior Design programs. FIDM students Nakyung Kim and LeAnnne Walraven came in First
and Second Place, respectively. |

Students were asked to design a children's
room with playful and imaginative style.
They submitted hand done or printed renderings
that were then judged by a panel of IKEA Interior
Design experts.
At a special luncheon honoring the winners.
Nakyung received a $2000 cash prize for college
related expenses and a $500 IKEA gift card, while
LeAnne won a $500 IKEA gift card. Since FIDM was
home to the First Place student,IKEA is donating $2000
in furniture to be used in an area of the college. |
