eLearning is not something that should be taken lightly. The perception may be that the student is not challenged enough, but since the instruction and curriculum are the focus of our courses, a greater challenge is placed on students to collaborate with their instructors and fellow classmates.

Requirements:
FIDM’s Expectations of All eLearning Students
- Must be self-motivated and independent.
- Must have excellent time management skills - You are required and expected to log in to your online courses at least every other day and to check your email everyday.
- Quizzes, exams, and projects must be completed by posted times.
- Must share and contribute to online discussions in the Discussion Board as an integral part of your class participation grade.
- Registration form must include correct and valid e-mail address and current phone number (if this changes before class starts or during the course, student must notify the Department Advisor of changes or Director of Education on your campus.)
- Must exhibit professional attitude in the online environment. All email correspondence must be appropriate.

Eligibility Notes for Current FIDM Students
- If you are a first time eLearning student, you may only register in ONE online class.
- If you are an F-1 status student, you must have 12-units in residence on campus.
- You must have a 2.8 or above cumulative GPA.
- Must have your own computer at home and be computer proficient, which includes being comfortable using a PC, navigating the World Wide Web, and working with e-mail and web attachments.
- You must have an established, active email account that is checked daily.
- You must meet all pre-requisites for the course..
- You may register for a limit of two online courses in addition to two or three courses in residence on campus. Students cannot register for only online classes.
- You may register for online classes only on published registration dates.
