Career Connections 2006

In 2006, nearly 100 Alumni in FIDM’s 15 majors gathered on the Los Angeles campus on a sunny July morning to give current FIDM Students a view of what their future might hold. Among them were:

• Fashion Designer and Project Runway Contestant, Daniel Franco
• Life & Style Editor of Hollywood Covered, Niki Shadrow
• Trend Researcher for Disney, Nicole Parson
• Senior Designer of Men’s Denim for Guess, Beau Lawrence
• Senior Project Designer for Barbie, Patricia Chan
• Costume Designer for CBS Television, Robin Gurney

Students spent 15-minute segments “speed networking” with a number of alumni in different careers. They were able to ask questions and make valuable connections that will help them when making key decisions and looking for internships and jobs. Alumni got a chance to re-connect with Faculty and Career Advisors, demonstrate their success, and give back to FIDM in a very real way.

This incredible networking opportunity is held every year, and it's just one of FIDM's many exciting career-related events.
