I'm going to a party in New York and need to know if it's OK to wear white jeans after Labor Day. I'm wearing a black/white sweater, black leather blazer and black leather boots with the jeans.

I think your outfit sounds right in style because of all the black and white contrast, which is really big in fashion right now. White jeans on their own are not so appropriate after summer if they're paired with the wrong accessories. Summer statements such as flip-flops and sandals and pastel-colored, gauzy tops or light tees won't help your white jeans change seasons.
