Going back in time…

Decorative Art 50s, 60s and 70s is the definitive representation of the furniture, textiles and accessories for these decades. Published as a three part series, it is a compilation of interior design yearbooks. Decorative Art was published from 1893 until 1980 under various titles including Studio Magazine, Studio Vista and Decorative Art In Modern Interiors.

Each book is divided into such categories as… "Houses and Apartments", "Textiles and Wallpapers", "Glass", "Lighting" and "Ceramics". Each section is translated into English, German and French.

The "Houses and Apartments" section for each decade contains great photography of residences from around the world. It, also, includes floor plans as well as a description of challenges faced by the architect during the design process.

The "Glass", "Lighting", "Textiles and Wallpapers" and "Ceramics" sections give not only the name of the designer or manufacturer of each piece, but also the dimensions.

Decorative Art provides an incredible historical record of each era. This series is invaluable for those studying the history of interior design or for set designers utilizing these decades. It is also great for anyone feeling a touch nostalgic for days gone by.
