interesting movie or name is mentioned. Speaking
of history, the answers to the questions above
are "Dead Men DonÉt Wear Plaid" and "Animal House"
(believe it or not!). IÉll leave it to you and
the Database to link Bacon to Head (as in the
party game "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"), or to
do some real research. Either way, it will be
reel fun, and educational.

on planning a new kitchen or bath, or remodeling
an existing one. This monthly publication offers
insight into business developments, hot trends,
regional topics, trade shows, and up-to-date technology.
It caters to interior designers, architects, kitchen
design specialists, custom builders and home decorating
enthusiasts.
Each issue includes features
such as:
- Rising industry professionals
- Kitchen and bath layout
- Design strategies
- Business management
- New products
In one particular article written
by Lee Ann Flickinger, she states, "The mother
of all trend-producing industries is, of course,
fashion. It follows that as consumers pay attention
to the way their kitchens look, designers will
draw more heavily on trends for the forward-thinking
fashion industry." Note how designers such as
Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and
even Todd Oldham have home lines that mirror their
runway collections. By being conscious of these
elements, you can decide what fits your tastes
and those of your target customer.
This easy-to-read publication
offers practical and valuable information on products,
design ideas and installation issues. It can help
you create the functional yet beautiful kitchen
and bath youve always dreamed of having.

Judith Leiber: The Artful Handbag is
a fabulous book with 192 full-color photographs
that tells the story of Judith Leiber, one of
the worldÉs most famous handbag designers. Best-known
for her timeless elegance and extraordinary creativity,
Ms. LeiberÉs main focus is on her beaded, embroidered
and lock-decorated evening bags. However, many
will be surprised to learn that her designs also
include elegant day bags as well as an exclusive
collection of minaudieres (small metal evening
bags decorated with jewels). Readers of this book
can further admire an extensive array of vegetable,
seashell, animal, egg and rose-shaped handbags.
The Artful Handbag also
gives an historical overview of when and why handbags
were first designed. Interestingly, men were the
first ones to use handbags in the sixteenth century.
Over the years, women began to use handbags fueled
by necessity as well as a sense of fashion. The
variety of handbag designs available today is
almost unimaginable.
Ms. Leiber received the Coty
Fashion Award in 1973 and the Council of Fashion
Designers Award (CFDA) for accessories in 1994.
Her extraordinary creativity has captivated thousands
of fans, celebrities and socialites among them.
Leibers contribution to the prominence of
American fashion accessories is well-chronicled
within the pages of this beautiful book.
