The
World of Interiors is an elegant and colorful
magazine, rich with photos and interesting articles.
This monthly magazine is published in London
and provides the reader with a well-illustrated
review of the latest in interior trends and directions.
Also included in every issue is a section called, “inspiration” where
the editors provide you with selected design
effects from the various featured homes.
The March 2004 issue covered such diverse subjects
on Interiors as:
Farm on the Roof: features a rustic farmstead,
complete with livestock, situated on the roof
of an industrial warehouse in Antwerp.
The Visionary Miss Lassie: an article about
Gladwyn Bush, who experienced her first “vision” at
the age of 62, and was compelled to paint her
dreams on the walls, doors and shutters of her
Cayman Island home.
Sale of the Centuries: antique dealer Christopher
Howe is auctioning 20 years’ worth of his
acquisitions, from 18th Century plates to an
early Eero Saarinen ‘Tulip’ table.
Other features in the March issue covered the
world of art and antiques, reviews of books on
art, architecture and design, interior design
suppliers, and current trade shows, such as London
Design Week. The World of Interiors is a unique
format for the world of culture- past and present
and an informative publication of world events
involving interior design and art.

How
Music Changed The World Through Five Decades
What guitar, purchased by George Harrison in
1964 was nicknamed “The Beatles’ secret
weapon”? In what year did Band Aid record
their Christmas single, “Feed The World”?
What was the first video ever played on MTV?
What rock icon started out life as Reginald Dwight?
The answers to these questions and many, many
more can be found in a fascinating book titled,
Rock and Pop Timeline.
Gorgeously illustrated, this book chronicles
over forty years of music history, from Elvis
to Eminem to just about everyone else in between.
The music history is juxtaposed with a healthy
dose of world history as well as pop culture.
For additional information, fun facts are added
throughout. The book is laid out chronologically
with each year divided into three-month sections
to make it very easy to use.
If you are looking for a more entertaining and
colorful way of learning about history or if
you are a devoted music aficionado, Rock
and Pop Timeline is a sure bet. One word of warning
though, bring along plenty of time. Once you
pick up this book you will not be able to put
it down!
